The winners for both are announced one week after the competition and awarded a monetary grant, exclusive retail and media opportunities, and valuable memberships to art and design organizations.

The Annual Trunk Show
The Art of Fashion Trunk Show is held during the Annual Design Competition, and features up to 20 Canadian designers’ exclusive apparel and accessories.
This year will mark the second year the competition and the trunk show have taken place as a part of Scotiabank’s all-night art festival, Nuit Blanche.
We partner with museums and stores to provide mobile art exhibitions, installations, and store-front space for our designers. Our annual traveling installation features one piece from each of the design competition finalists’ collection. We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership this year with the Costume Museum of Canada in Winnipeg.
Art of Fashion is also a proud sponsor of Re-Think Breast Cancer. Last year we raised funds for this organization by having designers create bras based on the design competition theme and selling them at the trunk show.
